- Responding to your queries, feedback, or concerns and resolving any service-related issues;
- Improving the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our genetic testing services, including through internal validation and performance monitoring;

- When you use the “Gifting” feature on our Website, we collect certain personal information of the Gift Recipient, including their name, email address, delivery address, and mobile number, solely for the purpose of processing the order and delivering the Test Kit. You confirm that you have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from the Gift Recipient before sharing their personal information with us. You acknowledge that we rely on you to provide accurate information and obtain lawful consent for the collection and use of the Gift Recipient’s personal data. The Gift Recipient will be required to create their own account and may independently consent to further processing of their personal information as set out in this Privacy Policy, including for DNA analysis, report generation, and customer support. We do not use Gift Recipient information provided at the time of purchase for marketing or other unrelated purposes, unless and until the Gift Recipient registers with us and separately provides their consent.
- Vet Program
- Vets participating in the WoofDNA Vet Program may provide personal information such as name, contact information, address, GST information, professional details, clinic affiliation, etc. to register. We use this information to administer the Vet Program, assign referral codes, track referrals, process applicable remuneration if any, and communicate updates or service-related messages to you and the Vets.
- In cases where Vets approach us directly for onboarding into the Vet Program, their data is collected and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Participation is voluntary and subject to our verification and approval.
- Data Sharing and Disclosure.
- We do not sell or share your personal or identifiable data with third parties without your explicit consent. We may, however, disclose certain information to trusted third parties strictly for the purpose of delivering our Services, and always under appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards. We may convert your personal data and your pet’s genetic data into de-identified or aggregated formats for internal research, statistical analysis, or performance monitoring. Such anonymized data cannot reasonably be linked back to any individual and is no longer considered personal data. This includes:
- Sharing anonymized or pseudonymized genetic data with our partner laboratories and bioinformatics service providers for processing the Samples and generating DNA analysis reports;
- Disclosing limited personal information to logistics partners, customer support providers, IT infrastructure vendors, and other operational service providers who assist us in delivering and improving the Website experience, all bound by strict confidentiality obligations;
- Sharing necessary transaction data with payment gateways to process your payments. We do not store your full credit or debit card details;
- In exceptional circumstances, we may be required to disclose personal information to:
- comply with applicable legal obligations, regulatory requirements, court orders, or valid law enforcement requests;

- Personal data of Vets will be retained for as long as required to fulfill the purposes outlined in Clause 3, improving our Services, complying with our legal or contractual obligations or as otherwise required by law. Vets may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us at support@woofdna.in.
- Biological samples collected for DNA testing may be stored in our biobank for a period typically ranging from 1 to 10 years, in accordance with our internal policies and subject to your consent. These samples may be retained for quality control, reanalysis, or research purposes, but only in anonymized form. You may request destruction of your pet’s stored Sample at any time by writing to our Grievance Officer. Upon receipt and verification of the request, the Sample will be destroyed within a reasonable timeframe, unless required to be retained by applicable law.
- Once the relevant retention period has lapsed, or upon your request where permitted, personal and genetic data will be securely deleted, unless we are required to retain it to comply with applicable law or enforce any rights.
- Information
- We prioritize the security and confidentiality of your personal information provided as part of our Services. We adopt commercially reasonable and industry-standard technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, or alteration, in accordance with applicable laws.
